According to the restaurant's owners, employees approached the family with a polite request to prevent the children from continuing to throw tissues and plates around the restaurant. Instead of cooperating, the adults, who were described by the owners as being under the influence of alcohol, allegedly responded with verbal abuse, issued threats, damaged property, and shoved staff members before fleeing the premises.

Co-owner Aishwarya Khanna Singh later shared a video of the incident and stated that a restaurant is not a playground. She emphasized the importance of maintaining basic manners and respecting public spaces, particularly while visiting another country.
